Team development on the Baltic Sea

Management teams are supposed to achieve a highly effective and cooperative team performance as quickly as possible, in order to secure and expand the economic success.

Therefore it is worthwhile to establish and support an intensive team development program. During team trainings the main focus is placed on experiencing trust, team spirit and successful communication. This task is the focus of the SIM learning projects. The participants analyze their jointly achieved results and insights of assigned tasks together with the trainer. During this exercise participants realize that handling resources and problems during a learning project is an excellent learning tool for day-to-day business in a team. Learning projects support the process work and have a rewarding and "bonding" effect on the team.

An excellent way to conduct team trainings as well as project developments is on a traditional sailing ship, which is practically sailed by the team itself. No prior sailing experience is required! Overnight stays or longer trips are possible. Spending time together in a tight environment with simple equipment extremely encourages coping with the team and oneself and provides for exciting challenges. Additionally, the team is tasked to solve problems, which can only be resolved in a goal oriented and co-ordinated way. In a joint effort the transfer of the experience to the future practices of the team is worked out and the implementation in daily business is agreed upon. This is an important step on your way to a high performance team.
