For the first time in Africa, SIM presents itself and its expertise
Successful presentation at Nigeria Oil & Gas 2010 in Abuja/Tackling intercultural challenges in management training and coaching
Hanau, 9. April 2010 - SIM Management Training & Coaching offers customized training and consulting concepts to provide country-specific and cross-national business solutions. Operating in Germany and Europe, the consulting firm is also available "on site" to its international customers, putting its expertise and experience to goal-oriented use. The training professionals from Hanau have now taken a first step on a new continent: SIM presented itself, together with its customer Chibek Instruments Ltd., at Nigeria Oil & Gas 2010; the largest and most prestigious energy trade fair in Western Africa, which recently took place for the tenth time in Abuja
Individual country-specific concepts for effective training and coaching
"We have consulted, accompanied and coached most of our customers for many years," says Petra Ibe, one of the three founders of SIM aside from Ludolf Schein and Olaf Muther. "This frequently also involves their subsidiaries in other European countries." Country-specific markets, different regulatory requirements and the specific culture of a country require customized concepts; in each case taking into account the specific circumstances and intercultural challenges of a country. Providing goal-driven and effective services on site is one of the core competencies of SIM.
The SIM trainers not only benefit from their many years of qualified experience as trainers and coaches but also from their international background as executives and managers of medium-sized and large corporations. Today, SIM's clientele chiefly comprises companies from the energy, healthcare, food, telecommunications and service sectors.
"Our partnership with Chibek Instruments is a first step into the African Market," shares Petra Ibe. Chibek Instruments represents and markets scientific and analytical instruments for quality control, providing installation, service and maintenance from a single source. With its LabOne product, for instance, the market leader from Nigeria offers special laboratory equipment for industry, academia, research, and quality assurance.
"Nigeria, as several other Western African states, plays a major role in the energy supply sector. Many companies in this business are expanding and increasingly cooperating with European partners. Like Chibek Instruments, we support these companies in their respective countries to develop suitable organizational strategies and structures and provide consultancy on staff development, ISO certifications, as well as project and quality management."
