Field Report
Effective career advancement for female specialists and executives.
An article of Ms. S. Balser-Hahn, Director of "im Dialog", Giessen - a company, specialized in marketing and communication.
Fit for management - due to the training for female specialists and executives
During two intensive days of training we have learned in a very vivid group, how differences between male and female behavior impacts our career. An exciting mixture of factual information and practical exercises has resulted in a strong sustainability. The knowledge of structures and existing unwritten rules in male-dominated areas now allows the participants to act more professionally in given situations.
During many demonstrations, Petra Ibe has clearly pointed out to us, humorously factual and intentionally with some black-and-white portrayal, how men's general work related communication and reasoning affects the personal career or the current function. This way, participants realized that certain issues, behavior patterns, and approaches were hindering their career advancement.
Each of the participants of the well experienced heterogeneous group was able to share some of their own experiences. From these, each was able to benefit personally and find new perspectives and solutions for catch-22 situations. The mutual "mirroring" has revealed several hidden pitfalls.
Personally, I received a lot of input from this professional training, which I could immediately turn into my own professional success.
A clearly defined marketing strategy - the bait is supposed to suit the fish ...
During the past four months I came across situations in which I was able to consciously recognize several of the lessons learned during the training and acted accordingly. It is important to me to repeatedly reveal this knowledge, and the best way to do this is Petra Ibe's training style. The exchange with other women – in this safe setting – can produce miracles. I therefore recommend this course to experienced women with managerial functions as well as newcomers, who could successfully avoid one or another stumbling block.
